A few words from my trip to Bermuda in August 2009 where I was invited to run my 3 Spring Coaching 2 hour netball workshops with the teachers, caoches and players as well as some 2 hour sessions with their U16 and Senior National Squads.

I attended the Level 1 coaching course led by Alex. There were people with a whole range of netball knowledge and experiences but the course provided something for us all. When I first started coaching, it was really useful because ‘Coaching Made Easy’ always used progressions and started with the basics. It didn’t lead straight into a complex practice. The shooting section was particularly useful as I was a defender and not a shooter so it showed the technical side of the shot. It became my bible and I’m now a more confident coach.

I attended the Skills and Drills course as a pre-cursor to attending the Level 1 Coaching course, and found that thi swas a great course to learn how to build drills from a basic level to thinking how to expand each drill into something more complex. It was excellent, and Alex’s delivery made the course interesting and fun.

Inspirational is the only way to describe Alex Spring, after attending one of Alex’s coaching courses recently, she has given me the confidence to get myself back on the court, retake my umpiring qualifications and teach my girls so much more than I ever could before. I would travel the other end of the country to take part in any course Alex was teaching.
